Community of Consumers
What is it?
The CEIH Community of Consumers formed to engage consumers, carers and the community in a meaningful way to ensure their experiences and expertise guides The CEIH in its program of work.
The overarching purpose is to:
- Provide a stronger voice for consumers, carers and the community in the work of The CEIH and other health organisations
- Provide consumer, carer and community connections and networking with other groups.
- Support opportunities for capability development and greater understanding of clinical engagement.
Welcome our new Consumer and Community Lead
We’re pleased to announce and welcome Paul Williams our new Consumer and Community Lead.
Paul brings extensive stakeholder engagement and consumer advocacy experience from previous roles, such as the British Cardiac Patients Association where he served as Vice Chairmen, ensuring the patient and carer voice was considered when governments and health networks needed to implement change.
Paul will work closely with The CEIH team to facilitate connections with consumers, carers and community and support The CEIH by ensuring our consumer and community engagement is meaningful and effective. Paul will also take on a supportive leadership role with our existing consumer representative network, bringing them together for further collaboration.
