Community of Consumers

What is it? 

The CEIH Com­mu­ni­ty of Con­sumers formed to engage con­sumers, car­ers and the com­mu­ni­ty in a mean­ing­ful way to ensure their expe­ri­ences and exper­tise guides The CEIH in its pro­gram of work.

The over­ar­ch­ing pur­pose is to:

  • Pro­vide a stronger voice for con­sumers, car­ers and the com­mu­ni­ty in the work of The CEIH and oth­er health organisations
  • Pro­vide con­sumer, car­er and com­mu­ni­ty con­nec­tions and net­work­ing with oth­er groups.
  • Sup­port oppor­tu­ni­ties for capa­bil­i­ty devel­op­ment and greater under­stand­ing of clin­i­cal engagement.

Wel­come our new Con­sumer and Com­mu­ni­ty Lead

We’re pleased to announce and wel­come Paul Williams our new Con­sumer and Com­mu­ni­ty Lead.

Paul brings exten­sive stake­hold­er engage­ment and con­sumer advo­ca­cy expe­ri­ence from pre­vi­ous roles, such as the British Car­diac Patients Asso­ci­a­tion where he served as Vice Chair­men, ensur­ing the patient and car­er voice was con­sid­ered when gov­ern­ments and health net­works need­ed to imple­ment change.

Paul will work close­ly with The CEIH team to facil­i­tate con­nec­tions with con­sumers, car­ers and com­mu­ni­ty and sup­port The CEIH by ensur­ing our con­sumer and com­mu­ni­ty engage­ment is mean­ing­ful and effec­tive. Paul will also take on a sup­port­ive lead­er­ship role with our exist­ing con­sumer rep­re­sen­ta­tive net­work, bring­ing them togeth­er for fur­ther collaboration.
