Estab­lished in 2019, the Statewide Urgent Care Clin­i­cal Net­work is com­mit­ted to sup­port­ing urgent, unplanned, non life-threat­en­ing care.

Cur­rent Projects

  • Work­ing with stake­hold­ers in CAL­HN and RMCLHN to improve patient expe­ri­ences for region­al res­i­dents need­ing urgent men­tal health care.
  • Review of Head Strike statewide mod­el of care.
  • Col­lab­o­ra­tion with SA Vir­tu­al Care Ser­vice to devel­op urgent care pathways

Statewide Urgent Care Clin­i­cal Net­work Vision

Our aims are to improve access to urgent care for:

  • those suf­fer­ing from men­tal health emergencies
  • peo­ple liv­ing in rur­al areas who require ser­vices in metro areas

We’ll do this by col­lab­o­rat­ing with rel­e­vant health­care pro­fes­sionals to find the right care in the right place at the right time.

Statewide Urgent Care Net­work Goals

We’re com­mit­ted to pro­vid­ing urgent, unex­pect­ed, non-life threat­ening care that is based on peo­ples’ expe­riences, that is:

  • con­sumer centred
  • achieved by col­lab­o­rat­ing with the rel­e­vant health­care professionals
  • results in clin­i­cal­ly appro­pri­ate care at the right place in the right timeframe
  • links the con­sumer into appro­pri­ate fol­low up services.
