Urgent Care
Our Statewide Urgent Care Clinical Network is committed to supporting urgent, unplanned, non life-threatening care.
Goals
We’re committed to providing urgent, unexpected, non-life threatening care that is based on peoples’ experiences, that is:
- consumer centred
- achieved by collaborating with the relevant healthcare professionals
- results in clinically appropriate care at the right place in the right timeframe
- links the consumer into appropriate follow up services.
Our aims are to improve access to urgent care for:
- consumers aged over 75
- those suffering from mental health emergencies
- people living in rural areas who require services in metro areas.
We’ll do this by collaborating with relevant healthcare professionals to find the right care in the right place at the right time.
