Apply to become a Consumer Representative on the Children and Youth Health Statewide Clinical Network

The Com­mis­sion on Excel­lence and Inno­va­tion in Health (CEIH) is invit­ing expres­sions of inter­est for par­ents, car­ers or sup­port peo­ple with lived expe­ri­ence of sup­port­ing a child or young per­son who has used health­care ser­vices to join the Chil­dren and Youth Health Statewide Clin­i­cal Net­work (SCN).

What is an SCN?

Statewide Clin­i­cal Net­works (SCNs) bring togeth­er health pro­fes­sion­als, con­sumers and oth­er experts to improve health­care across South Australia. 

SCNs focus on spe­cif­ic clin­i­cal areas and work across health ser­vices to iden­ti­fy oppor­tu­ni­ties for improve­ment, lead change, solve com­plex prob­lems and improve out­comes for South Australians. 

About the Chil­dren and Youth Health SCN

The Chil­dren and Youth Health SCN works to improve health out­comes for chil­dren and young peo­ple across South Australia. 

The SCN seeks the lived expe­ri­ence of chil­dren, young peo­ple and their fam­i­lies to help inform health sys­tem pri­or­i­ties, plan­ning and deci­sion making. 

Why apply

By join­ing the SCN, you can help ensure the voic­es of par­ents, car­ers or sup­port peo­ple guide improve­ments for chil­dren and young peo­ple access­ing healthcare. 

We are look­ing for con­sumer rep­re­sen­ta­tives who: 

• have lived expe­ri­ence as a par­ent, car­er or sup­port per­son sup­port­ing a child or young per­son who has used health­care services 
• are pas­sion­ate about improv­ing patient expe­ri­ences and outcomes 
• can share per­son­al insights to make sure the SCN’s work reflects what mat­ters most to young South Aus­tralians using health services
• com­mu­ni­cate well, work effec­tive­ly in a team to solve prob­lems and are avail­able to take part in meet­ings, work­ing groups and tasks between meetings.

All appli­ca­tions will be reviewed, and appli­cants will be noti­fied of the outcome.
