Who we are

We are the lead agency for innovation in healthcare in South Australia. We bring consumers, clinicians and other collaborators together to turn ideas into better healthcare.

We are led by the Com­mis­sion­er, Pro­fes­sor Kei­th McNeil.

Our struc­ture includes two direc­torates and a busi­ness oper­a­tions team that sup­ports the Office of the Commissioner.

Con­sumer and Clin­i­cal Partnerships

Our Con­sumer and Clin­i­cal Part­ner­ships direc­torate is focused on devel­op­ing sys­tems to build and nur­ture the rela­tion­ships between clin­i­cians, com­mu­ni­ties, con­sumers and car­ers and oth­ers across the health system.

These part­ner­ships help improve expe­ri­ences, fos­ter inno­va­tion and lead to bet­ter health outcomes.

Clin­i­cal Infor­mat­ics and Innovation

Our Clin­i­cal Infor­mat­ics and Inno­va­tion direc­torate is pas­sion­ate about mak­ing bet­ter use of the health sector’s data assets, build­ing capa­bil­i­ty and sup­port­ing inno­va­tion in clin­i­cal settings.

This work improves access to data across the health sys­tem and sup­ports bet­ter deci­sion-mak­ing and health outcomes.

South Aus­tralian Com­pre­hen­sive Can­cer Network

The South Aus­tralian Com­pre­hen­sive Can­cer Net­work (SAC­CaN) is a statewide pro­gram led by the CEIH. It brings togeth­er clin­i­cians, researchers and part­ners to strength­en and improve can­cer ser­vices across South Australia.

SAC­CaN is being estab­lished from 2025 to 2029, sup­port­ed by Aus­tralian Gov­ern­ment fund­ing and deliv­ered in part­ner­ship with the South Aus­tralian Government.
