Our Community of Consumers brings together the CEIH’s consumer representatives to provide a stronger, collective consumer voice and ensure our engagement is meaningful, effective and informed by lived experience.

About the Com­mu­ni­ty of Consumers

The CEIH Com­mu­ni­ty of Con­sumers brings togeth­er peo­ple with diverse lived expe­ri­ence of the health sys­tem to help shape how care is planned, designed and deliv­ered across the CEIH’s pro­grams and ini­tia­tives in South Australia.

The group pro­vides a space for con­sumers, car­ers and the com­mu­ni­ty to con­nect, share insights and con­tribute to the CEIH’s pro­gram of work, help­ing to inform broad­er health sys­tem improvement.

Pur­pose

The over­ar­ch­ing pur­pose of the group is to:

  • pro­vide a stronger voice for con­sumers, car­ers and the com­mu­ni­ty in the work of the CEIH and oth­er health organisations
  • strength­en con­nec­tions between con­sumer rep­re­sen­ta­tives, net­works and partners
  • sup­port capa­bil­i­ty build­ing and shared learn­ing for members.

Mem­ber­ship

The group includes con­sumer rep­re­sen­ta­tives from the CEIH’s 12 Statewide Clin­i­cal Net­works, three Pri­or­i­ty Focus Areas and the South Aus­tralian Com­pre­hen­sive Can­cer Net­work.

It may also include con­sumers from oth­er CEIH net­works, projects and partnerships.
