About the Consumer and Community Engagement Professionals Community of Practice
The Consumer and Community Engagement Professionals Community of Practice (CoP) brings together professionals from across South Australia’s health system to improve how services engage with consumers and communities.
The CoP is led jointly by its members. Each organisation takes turns to chair meetings, ensuring a mix of perspectives and a shared sense of ownership across the group.
The CEIH supports, hosts and contributes to the CoP.
Purpose
The overarching purpose of the group is to:
- share best practice and support consistent approaches to engagement across organisations, Local Health Networks (LHNs) and services
- build workforce capability through collaboration and shared expertise
- contribute to policies, initiatives and system-wide improvements
- strengthen partnerships with consumers and communities to support better care.
Membership
The CoP includes representatives from LHNs, statewide services and external partners.
This broad membership helps the group share what is working across the system and stay connected to engagement practices across South Australia.
