The Commission on Excellence and Innovation in Health (CEIH) is inviting expressions of interest from consumers (patients), carers, support people and community members to join our Statewide Clinical Networks (SCNs):
- Renal
- Primary Care
- Antimicrobial Stewardship.
What is an SCN?
Statewide Clinical Networks (SCNs) bring together health professionals, consumers and other experts to improve healthcare across South Australia.
SCNs focus on specific clinical areas and work across health services to identify opportunities for improvement, lead change, solve complex problems and improve outcomes for South Australians.
About the Networks
The Renal Statewide Clinical Network supports high-quality kidney care across South Australia, improving outcomes for people with kidney disease.
The Primary Care Statewide Clinical Network supports better access to primary healthcare services and helps services work together more effectively across South Australia.
The Antimicrobial Stewardship Statewide Clinical Network supports the safe and appropriate use of antimicrobial medicines, helping improve patient outcomes and reduce antimicrobial resistance.
Why apply
By joining an SCN, you can help ensure the voices of consumers guide improvements in healthcare services across South Australia.
We are looking for consumer representatives who:
- have lived experience as a consumer, carer, support person or community member in the relevant SCN’s specialty area
- are passionate about improving patient experiences and outcomes
- can share personal insights to make sure the SCN’s work reflects what matters most to South Australians using health services
- communicate well, work effectively in a team to solve problems and are available to take part in meetings, working groups and tasks between meetings.
All applications will be reviewed, and applicants will be notified of the outcome. Membership will be constructed to reflect the necessary mix of knowledge, experience and skills to support the relevant SCN to fulfil its responsibilities.
Applications close Friday 4 September 2026.
