Statewide Clinical Networks continue to grow

The CEIH con­tin­ues to estab­lish new Statewide Clin­i­cal Net­works as part of its revised mod­el, bring­ing clin­i­cians and part­ners togeth­er to dri­ve health care improve­ments and outcomes.

Peri­na­tal Statewide Clin­i­cal Network

The Peri­na­tal Statewide Clin­i­cal Net­work is pleased to wel­come Dr Belin­da Maier as the new Clin­i­cal Lead.

Belin­da is cur­rent­ly Direc­tor of Mid­wifery at the Lime­stone Coast Local Health Net­work. She brings exten­sive expe­ri­ence across ter­tiary, rur­al, remote, com­mu­ni­ty and pri­vate mid­wifery ser­vices in South Aus­tralia and Queens­land. She is recog­nised for her abil­i­ty to work across pro­fes­sion­al and organ­i­sa­tion­al bound­aries to sup­port evi­dence informed mater­ni­ty reform, strength­en gov­er­nance and improve out­comes for women, babies and children.

Demen­tia Care and Pri­ma­ry Care Statewide Clin­i­cal Networks

The Demen­tia Care Statewide Clin­i­cal Net­work is pleased to wel­come Dr Sal­ly Johns as the new Clin­i­cal Lead.

Sal­ly is a respect­ed geri­a­tri­cian and Senior Staff Spe­cial­ist with the North­ern Ade­laide Local Health Net­work, pro­vid­ing demen­tia care across met­ro­pol­i­tan and region­al com­mu­ni­ties. Sal­ly com­bines clin­i­cal lead­er­ship with demen­tia research, edu­ca­tion and mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary col­lab­o­ra­tion, bring­ing exten­sive exper­tise and a strong com­mit­ment to improv­ing demen­tia ser­vices and out­comes for peo­ple and fam­i­lies across South Australia.

Recruit­ment is under­way for a Clin­i­cal Lead for the new Pri­ma­ry Care Statewide Clin­i­cal Network.

These new net­works will bring togeth­er clin­i­cians, con­sumers and sys­tem part­ners to strength­en col­lab­o­ra­tion and help dri­ve improve­ments in care.

Stroke Statewide Clin­i­cal Network

The Stroke Statewide Clin­i­cal Net­work will hold the Stroke Edu­ca­tion Sym­po­sium on 19 Novem­ber 2026 at the South Aus­tralia Health and Med­ical Research Institute.

The sym­po­sium will bring togeth­er clin­i­cians from across the stroke care con­tin­u­um to dis­cuss best prac­tice, clin­i­cal updates, ser­vice improve­ment and ini­tia­tives in stroke care.
