The CEIH is implementing its revised model for Statewide Clinical Networks (SCNs) following a review completed in 2025.
The team is busy setting up new SCNs, transitioning existing Communities of Practice into the CEIH, and supporting the SCNs already in place.
SCNs bring together health professionals, consumers and subject matter experts to collaborate, share knowledge and lead system-level change. Although hosted by the CEIH, SCNs belong to the wider health system and serve as a resource for expertise, advice and leadership in their specialty areas. You can visit our webpage for updates as each SCN is established.
As part of the updated model, we have also created three Priority Focus Areas to deliver initiatives aligned with system priorities. We are working with partners and project teams on clinical registries and sepsis improvement, with updates available on our website as these projects evolve.
Rheumatic Fever Priority Focus Area project |
The CEIH has also begun early scoping for our project on rheumatic fever. This preventable condition continues to have significant impact on First Nations people. Reducing the incidence of rheumatic fever is an important part of improving equity and closing the gap in health outcomes for Aboriginal people.
More information will be added to our webpage and we will be calling for expressions of interest as the project progresses. If you’d like to get involved in this work or find out more, please reach out to us at ceih.rheumaticfever@sa.gov.au.
