Expression of Interest: SACCaN Early Phase Clinical Trials Alliance

The CEIH, in part­ner­ship with the South Aus­tralian Com­pre­hen­sive Can­cer Net­work (SAC­CaN) are seek­ing expres­sions of inter­est (EOI) from clin­i­cians, inves­ti­ga­tors and clin­i­cal tri­al unit man­agers to join the SAC­CaN Ear­ly Phase Can­cer Tri­als Alliance. 

The alliance will improve vis­i­bil­i­ty of avail­able ear­ly phase can­cer tri­als, pro­vide refer­ral path­ways, and sup­port more con­nect­ed and equi­table access across South Aus­tralia.

About the alliance

The SAC­CaN Ear­ly Phase Alliance will pro­vide a struc­tured, col­lab­o­ra­tive forum for ear­ly phase can­cer tri­al dis­cus­sion and coordination. 

Mem­bers will be able to: 

  • see and dis­cuss open or upcom­ing ear­ly phase tri­al opportunities
  • eas­i­ly iden­ti­fy tri­al oppor­tu­ni­ties at oth­er sites
  • find site con­tacts and up to date tri­al slot num­bers and/​or availability
  • dis­cuss acute patient sce­nar­ios dur­ing Alliance meet­ings for refer­ral to ear­ly phase tri­al options
  • con­tribute to a more con­nect­ed and equi­table ear­ly phase tri­al envi­ron­ment across South Australia.

Who should sub­mit an EOI? 

EOIs are wel­come from any­one involved in ear­ly phase can­cer tri­als, including: 

  • prin­ci­pal investigators
  • med­ical oncol­o­gists and haematologists
  • clin­i­cal tri­al unit managers
  • clin­i­cians who may refer patients to ear­ly phase can­cer trials.
