Antimicrobial Resistance Statewide Clinical Network

Coming soon!

About the network

We’re establishing an Antimicrobial Resistance Statewide Clinical Network (AMR SCN). This network will ensure coordinated strategies for stewardship, surveillance, and education to reduce resistance and help keep patients safe.

The AMR SCN will bring together clinicians, consumers, and stakeholders from across the state to collaborate on innovative solutions and best practice care.

Why this matters

Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) is a serious global health threat. It happens when microorganisms such as bacteria become resistant to medicines such as antibiotics. This makes infections harder to treat and puts many modern medical advances at risk. It can lead to longer hospital stays, higher medical costs and even death.
