About the network

The Peri­na­tal Statewide Clin­i­cal Net­work (SCN) pro­vides statewide clin­i­cal lead­er­ship, advice and col­lab­o­ra­tion across peri­na­tal health care services. 

The net­work brings togeth­er clin­i­cians, con­sumers and health part­ners from across the state to help shape pri­or­i­ties, strength­en qual­i­ty and safe­ty and sup­port sys­tem-wide improvement.

The estab­lish­ment of the Peri­na­tal SCN com­pletes the tran­si­tion of the Mater­nal, Neona­tal, and Gynae­col­o­gy Strate­gic Exec­u­tive Lead­er­ship Com­mit­tee and the Mater­nal, Neona­tal, and Gynae­col­o­gy Com­mu­ni­ties of Prac­tice, to the CEIH Statewide Clin­i­cal Net­work Model.

Care before, dur­ing and after preg­nan­cy plays an impor­tant role in the life­long health and well­be­ing for women, babies and families.

Strong coor­di­na­tion across ser­vices sup­ports equi­table, effec­tive and inclu­sive peri­na­tal care, improv­ing out­comes for fam­i­lies across South Australia.

Expres­sions of interest

Expres­sions of inter­est are now open for the Clin­i­cal Lead of the Peri­na­tal SCN.

The Clin­i­cal Lead will work with clin­i­cians, con­sumers and health part­ners to pro­vide strate­gic lead­er­ship, advise on qual­i­ty and safe­ty and rep­re­sent the net­work across the health system.
