Optimising pre-surgical care

The Statewide Sur­gi­cal and Peri­op­er­a­tive Care Clin­i­cal Net­work con­tin­ues to inves­ti­gate how we can best deliv­er opti­mised pre-sur­gi­cal care to all patients under­go­ing an elec­tive surgery pro­ce­dure in South Australia.

To broad­en the con­ver­sa­tion across the health sys­tem, the Network’s Steer­ing Com­mit­tee will be engag­ing with key rep­re­sen­ta­tives from local health net­works, pri­ma­ry care organ­i­sa­tions and oth­er rel­e­vant agen­cies through a work­shop at the end of September. 

The work­shop pro­vides an oppor­tu­ni­ty to co-devel­op a path­way with a mul­ti-dis­ci­pli­nary per­spec­tive to opti­mis­ing pre-sur­gi­cal care, where par­tic­i­pants will explore inno­v­a­tive and col­lab­o­ra­tive oppor­tu­ni­ties to a statewide approach for opti­mised pre-sur­gi­cal care.
