Our Statewide Patient Reported Measures (PRMs) Program to commence in late October with select services across South Australia

The Statewide PRM Pro­gram stage 1 imple­men­ta­tion is com­menc­ing from late Octo­ber 2023 with in-scope ser­vices com­pris­ing those already col­lect­ing PRMs. It is an excit­ing time for these ser­vices, who will now be able to man­age and sched­ule their patient report­ed out­come mea­sures (PROMs) or patient report­ed expe­ri­ence mea­sures (PREMs) through the inno­v­a­tive dig­i­tal plat­form ZEDOC, and have access to their con­sumer and ser­vice lev­el data in real time. 

Imple­men­ta­tion of PRMs in clin­i­cal ser­vices will ensure that con­sumers and clin­i­cians have the infor­ma­tion they need to make the best deci­sions togeth­er, sup­port­ing ser­vices to pro­vide the care that con­sumers need and want. 

The ser­vices imple­ment­ing as part of stage 1 are:

  • Men­tal Health – Con­sumer and Car­er PREMs 

South­ern Ade­laide Local Health Net­work

  • Divi­sion of Plas­tic & Recon­struc­tive Surgery PROMs: 
  • Breast Recon­struc­tion service 
  • Hand Surgery service 
  • Facial skin can­cer surgery service 
  • Reha­bil­i­ta­tion Ser­vices dis­charge PREM 
  • Breast Care and Sur­gi­cal Oncol­o­gy ser­vices PROM 

Women’s and Children’s Health Net­work

  • WCHN Feed­back Cir­cle PREM 

Cen­tral Ade­laide Local Health Net­work

  • Oncol­o­gy PROM 
  • Rheuma­tol­ogy PROMs 
  • TQEH Nuclear Med­i­cine PROM 

The find­ings from stage 1 will inform the next phase of the imple­men­ta­tion which is sched­uled to com­mence in ear­ly 2024., The fur­ther stag­ing approach­es for sub­se­quent imple­men­ta­tions will be decid­ed via a col­lab­o­ra­tive process with Local Health Net­works (LHNs) and the PRM Pro­gram Board.
