The CEIH and Health Translation SA (HTSA) partnered to establish the Patient Reported Measures (PRMs) Research Collaborative, which launched in December 2021.
Through working together, CEIH and HTSA are well positioned to connect across the health and research sectors, with both organisations seeking to improve patient outcomes and accelerate the capacity to improve healthcare and the health of all South Australians.
The Collaborative aims to build a professional network of people with expertise and interest in PRMs research, and to promotes opportunities to foster partnerships and collaboration in the health system. This includes providing a forum for clinical researchers and clinicians from across South Australia, and beyond, to come together and share their knowledge and bring focus to the benefits of PRMs research in clinical practice.
The Collaborative recently welcomed it’s 140th member! The membership is growing to represent a great wealth of expertise across the health and research sectors, bringing a focus to the benefits of PRMs in research and clinical practice. Several members recently met to continue co-designing together the next phase of the Collaborative’s development. Contributing ideas for future activities, the collaboration and leadership required to achieve this, and how to establish effective partnership with consumers to ensure activities are consumer focused. We continue to be excited to see how the Collaborative grows, to continue driving, building, and supporting PRMs research excellence in South Australia.
Preparations have begun for the 2nd PRMs Research Collaborative Symposium to be held on 14 November 2022, at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI). The Symposium is shaping up to be a great event, with presentations from members and guests on the theme of ‘Using PRMs to improve health care for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) and other underrepresented populations’.
A benefit of membership to the PRMs Reserarch Collaborative is the opportunity to network and share with others in the field. An e‑newsletter was launched for members in August 2022, showcasing connected research and projects, local activities and events, and relevant resources and news.
It’s not too late to become a member of the PRMs Research Collaborative! If you’d like to learn more, or register to join, visit the CEIH PRMs website.
