As part of our strategic approach to strengthening healthcare workforce wellbeing, our team has been working closely with a sub-committee of the SA Health Chief Executive’s Council on advancing healthcare workforce wellbeing action across SA Health.
On 14 February 2023, we convened a workshop of CEO’s and senior leaders from across SA Health to discuss a collaborative approach to advance workforce health and wellbeing through prioritised system-level actions.
Over 70 attendees heard from presenters about the current workplace wellbeing challenges within our health system and explored international and national best practice strategies to better enable our workforce to flourish in their personal and professional lives.
It was great to hear the resounding leadership commitment to working together on this important topic and creating a positive and supportive health system that protects and promotes the wellbeing of our most important resource – our people!
The outcomes from the workshop are being used to develop a system-level collaborative action plan, governed by the SA Health Chief Executive Council (HCEC) Sub-committee on Workplace Wellbeing.
