18 Apr 2023

Our Statewide Chronic Pain Clinical Network lead, Professor Anne Burke, presented at the 2023 Australian Pain Society 43rd Annual Scientific Meeting.

The Australian Pain Society is a multidisciplinary association whose purpose is to advance pain management through education, research, and advocacy for transformational improvements in clinical care.

The Annual Scientific Meeting provides an opportunity to explore some of the most complex, challenging and dynamic areas of pain management and to delve into new insights of the management of pain from national speakers illustrating where Australia is at the forefront of pain management and pain research.

Anne talked about the use of data to identify areas of improvement for chronic pain care in South Australia. This data is now being used to inform the development of a new care pathway for people with low back pain.
