What is an SCN?

Statewide Clinical Networks (SCNs) are central to advancing clinical excellence and collaboration across South Australia’s health system.

SCNs bring together health professionals, consumers and other experts to lead change, solve complex problems and improve outcomes in specific areas of healthcare. Their work extends across the state and beyond SA Health.

About the Perinatal SCN

The Perinatal SCN is being established to support better, more consistent care for women, babies and families across South Australia.

Working across the full perinatal care journey – from pre-pregnancy to life after birth – the SCN will bring together clinicians, consumers and health partners to help shape priorities, strengthen quality and safety and support improvement at a statewide level.

As a SCN Clinical Lead, you will:

  • collaborate with clinicians, consumers, carers and key stakeholders to drive innovation and improve outcomes for women, babies and families across South Australia
  • provide strategic leadership and advice to the CEIH and SA Health on quality and safety related to perinatal health
  • represent and advocate for the SCN across the health system.

The SCN Clinical Lead will be selected through a merit-based process.
