BHFLHN Nominated for Best WHS Health and Wellbeing Program Award

We are excit­ed to share that Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Net­work has been select­ed as a final­ist in the Aus­tralian Work­place Health & Safe­ty Awards 2024 in the cat­e­go­ry of Best WHS Health & Well­be­ing Pro­gram Award for Fos­ter­ing a psy­cho­log­i­cal­ly healthy and safe workplace’.

Through­out 2022 and ear­ly 2023, CEIH part­nered with BHFL­HN to focus on work­place well­be­ing cul­ture with­in their net­work, with a par­tic­u­lar focus on bet­ter util­is­ing data and mea­sure­ment to under­stand key dri­vers of well­be­ing and work­place psy­cho­log­i­cal risk. CEIH was pleased to sup­port BHFL­HN to par­tic­i­pate in an inno­v­a­tive nation­al, cross-sec­tor pilot pro­gram with Flour­ishDx which aimed to iden­ti­fy work­place psy­choso­cial risks, guide the devel­op­ment of inter­ven­tions, and embed a con­tin­u­ous qual­i­ty improve­ment frame­work to review the effi­ca­cy of inter­ven­tions imple­ment­ed. In addi­tion to the imple­men­ta­tion of the Flour­ishDx plat­form, BHFL­HN has put con­sid­er­able effort into devel­op­ing a sys­tem­at­ic and inte­grat­ed approach to the iden­ti­fi­ca­tion and man­age­ment of psy­choso­cial risk across their Net­work by work­ing close­ly with their staff. Feed­back from the Aus­tralian Insti­tute of Health and Safe­ty award judges com­ment­ed on BHFLHN’s com­pre­hen­sive, data-dri­ven approach to man­ag­ing psy­choso­cial risks through the inno­v­a­tive use of the Flour­ishDx plat­form. This pro­gram excels in lever­ag­ing tech­nol­o­gy to pro­vide con­tin­u­ous, scal­able assess­ment and proac­tive inter­ven­tion. The strong align­ment with orga­ni­za­tion­al goals, clear imple­men­ta­tion strat­e­gy, and mea­sur­able impact demon­strate its effec­tive­ness. The empha­sis on empow­er­ing employ­ees and ensur­ing high par­tic­i­pa­tion rates fur­ther high­lights its com­mit­ment to cre­at­ing a psy­cho­log­i­cal­ly healthy and safe work­place.”
