Transforming Cancer Care: Release of the completed Cancer Navigation Framework

17 Feb 2025

Developed through extensive stakeholder engagement, the Cancer Navigation Framework emphasises collaboration among various entities involved in cancer care. It serves as a vital tool for improving patient outcomes by streamlining navigation through our healthcare system.

We urge all stakeholders — policymakers, healthcare providers, community organisations — to read this comprehensive framework and join us in its implementation efforts. Together, we can make a meaningful impact on those affected by cancer in our community!

To get started:

  1. Read the Framework: Read the Cancer Navigation Framework to understand key strategies and recommendations for improving cancer care access and coordination.
  2. Share the Framework: Distribute it among colleagues and your networks to encourage widespread adoption.
  3. Use as guidance: Utilise this resource to inform your practices and policies, aligning our shared goals.
  4. Connect with us: Reach out to the Cancer Statewide Clinical Network (Cancer SCN), or Flinders University Caring Futures Institute (CFI) to discuss the framework and explore ways we can work together.

By taking these steps, we can work together to enhance cancer navigation and improve outcomes for all South Australians affected by cancer.
