We welcome Damon Fenech as Acting Clinical Lead for the Statewide Adolescent Transition Care Clinical Network (SATCCN), for the next 6 months.
Damon (pictured with Kate Turpin, SATCCN Network Advisor) is a registered nurse with substantial senior clinical and operational experience in Adult and Youth Mental Health Services.
Originally from Yorkshire, working in both Europe and Australia, Damon has worked extensively with individuals with complex, high-risk presentations with a potential for a lifelong impact, and has had substantial success in many contemporary service developments.
Since moving to Australia in 2010, Damon has focused on primary and secondary based community care transitional partnerships especially in the areas of adolescent and youth mental health. He currently co leads the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) multi-agency Youth Mental Health Service and manages the NALHN continuing care community mental health services.
With a passion for trying to positively change the trajectory of young people with life challenges, whilst valuing lived experience involvement in strategic service design and delivery, Damon is proud and excited to be offered the opportunity to build on the amazing work already undertaken by the Adolescent Transitional Care Network and create true synergy with our South Australian community in need and the Commission for Excellence and Innovation in Health.
