Statewide Clinical Networks are an important statewide engagement structure to connect clinical experts, consumers, and other collaborators on agreed priorities to improve the South Australian health system.
The Chronic Pain Statewide Clinical Network vision is to develop a strong, connected and inclusive community of practice which promotes evidence-informed prevention, early intervention and management of pain across the life span for all South Australians.
We are seeking applicants who:
- are passionate about improving care and experiences for patients and their families
- provide organisational and clinical leadership within the health system and be consumer focused across all sectors
- assist in the analysis of current and projected service demand across all aspects of service delivery
- assist in addressing clinical variation and improvements
- are able to communicate effectively, work well in a team and be good problem solvers.
- are available to participate in activities of the Steering Committee, including face to face meetings, working groups and some work conducted between meetings.
We are looking to expand the expertise within our Steering Committee, particularly in the areas of:
- chronic pain in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- General Practice, primary care and/or private sector pain care
- chronic pain in older persons
- pain research and/or education
- chronic pain in adolescents
- consumer/carer lived experience and/or representation.

All applications will be reviewed, and applicants will be notified of the outcome. Membership will be constructed to reflect the necessary mix of knowledge, experience and skills to support the Chronic Pain Statewide Clinical Network to fulfil its responsibilities.
Successful candidates will be required to submit a letter of endorsement (Word, 75 KB) from their organisation agreeing to support them to attend meetings and/or participate in other Clinical Network activities during working hours.
